Issuing ERN Alerts


The ERN exists so that a community of family and friends of prisoners can take collective action to fight against prisoner abuse. We will send out emergency alerts to our networks, but first you should take the following steps on your own:

1. Talk to the prisoner's counselor.

2. Send a letter to/call the Warden with copies being sent to the Assistant Warden and the respective Captain.

3. Have the inmate file a grievance.

4. Contact a family member

5. Contact the PA prison society.

Understanding that in case of emergencies (especially medical emergencies or life threatening situations like assaults by COs), we will issue alerts immediately.
